The Dialogue Between the Mystical Protagonist and the InQuiring Mind continues from Part 1.

 P:  You have chosen to to hear my arguments why humanity is expendable from a Cosmic perspective.

Q: Yes.  After all your negative innuendo about our destructive way of life, tell me why this Gaia, as you call it, would destroy humanity as punishment.  State your case.

P:  Humanity's immanent destruction is not for vengeance or punishment (these ideas are defects of the human ego owned and operated intellect.)  Our elimination is required simply for Gaia's survival in accordance with Cosmic Law.  I have an penchant for directness. Unless our abuse of the earth and its vulnerable peoples changes radically for the better, and soon, you/we will all surely die.  We do not exist for the materialistic ego interests that consume most of us.

Q: Why not?

P:  The ego controlled intellect cannot have direct access to the Spiritual Truth required to Know the Cosmic mechanisms that seal our impending fate.  Therefore, in Cosmic terms, humanity is quickly expendable to preserve the larger interests of Gaia and its larger  role in the Cosmos.  These larger interests cannot not directly be known, even collectively,  by the greatest human intelligence.  So in our Spiritual ignorance, we are now following our ego intellects to our death.

Q: "The Sky is falling! The Sky is falling!" cried Henney Penny.  I thought you told me that making those kind of scare statements and obsessing over problems helps to energize them? 

P: Yes, they do, and they will, if I persist in such declarations.  But I won't.  But remember?  I only do this now to help you focus you on the Reality of humanity's vulnerability to eliminating itself from earth. Your reaction argues my case.  Instant denial and back to business as usual.  But this is no fable--and you must remember that Chicken Little and her silly friends all had their heads ripped off by allowing the wolf to take advantage of their ignorance, panic, and denial.  So hear me out.

Remember, Life is RAW! Reality (the Cosmic Reality) Always Wins.  Every system must be in harmony with this Truth or fall victim to its consequences. In the ultimate scenario of impending world wide violence, the fortunate will die quickly. But death for most of us under the conditions that are currently evolving will most likely be lengthy and painful.

Q:  I reject that thought.  Even the worst of humanity does not deserve a death sentence. We are too important.

P: Your belief is the product of generations of self serving egos preaching to our most earnest desires.  In fact, the Cosmos would not miss the loss of this entire earth full of humanity.

Q:  So what are we to do? Do we identify all the humans who are an evil virus and destroy them? That sounds like Pol Pot, Osama bin Laden, Kim Il Jong, or Hitler. I'm not going to do that. Even those who promote abortion wouldn't do that. Even so, what is to prove that humanity is unfit for life in the Cosmos? Given that we have problems, even serious ones, does that justify a death sentence? I haven't done anything illegal, let alone evil. Why should people like me die?

P: Your response is typical of so many. We must surely believe in our innocence. We believe that our ignorance forgives us from the consequences of the actions of others who are not innocent.  But this too is a form of arrogance, a trait inevitably found in the behaviors of all those of inadequate Spiritual Consciousness.  This lack is made evident by our incapacity to see our larger self-interest accurately and comprehensively reflected in the entire context of the Whole of which we are only a part.  As individuals who manage the social, technical, and institutional extensions of ourselves, we nevertheless remain only a small part of the whole of Gaia, let alone the Cosmos.  But we remain in blissfully ignorance until we are trained in the capacity for the systems (Holistic) thinking that is required to recognize this. What is not first held in C/consciousness cannot, therefore, be processed by the intellect.

Q:  Well the Cosmos is certainly vast, but that doesn't presume it is populated beyond the earth.

P:  But we don't Know the Spiritual nature of "The Cosmos."  We can only have theories about it.  So I ask, are these theories fully informed?  A reasonable and Spiritually informed mind will presume that nature populates the universe with living systems beyond our sensate consciousness.  After all, there are many possibilities even for human like life types.

Q: But our theories about earth still don't speak to the nature of other cosmic earth's with their potential for other kinds of "humanities."

P:  True. But now let us focus on Gaia, our earth, for this is where our future as a humanity will be decided.  In the context of such humbling scientifically suggested possibilities I note that throughout history, humanity's great theologians and intellectuals often argued from a perspective that humanity is the center of it all.  You recall that about the time of the Protestant Reformation, the Christian church persecuted Galileo for advocating a replacement theory for the then unchallenged, church approved, theory of Ptolemy's concentric circle description of the Cosmos.  This theory placed the earth at the center of everything.  But then the emergent Copernican theory placed earth in an orbit around the sun at the center.  He was condemned and attacked for this challenge to spiritual truth as defined by the church.  This human tendency toward egocentrisim has contributed to many unilluminated people today who still presume that our earth is the only source of human life in the cosmos.

Indeed, there are still Spiritually undeveloped nations and religions that are prepared to kill in the belief that only those holding to their ethnicity, values and dogma have exclusive right to life on this planet.  Abu Bakar Bashir, an Islamic cleric who is the alleged leader of an Indonesian terrorist cult, Jemaah Iskmiah, with links to Al Qaeda, has said,

Likewise, there are corporations who aspire to "kill" all other competing companies in the sincere belief, through the tenants of capitalism, that only one of them is fit to survive.   The innocent and dependent employees suffer first and most throughout such wars. In this there are only a few temporary "winners" and many permanent losers.

Q: Are you claiming that it requires Spiritual Consciousness, not intellectual consciousness, to fully grasp the interconnected interdependency of all life and its implications for humanity?

P: Correct.  To harm our ecology is to directly harm ourselves, but the connections that can prove that Reality to the average intellect are lost to immediate detection by our ego dominated and limited senses. The time required for the mind to ultimately grasp these links is too extended for the eventual feedback to produce corrections in time to save us.  The feedback we are already getting has not been sufficient to induce the required wide spread change to the power bloated capacities of corporate egos and other political interests.

Q: But I reject your idea that Gaia, whoever, whatever she, he, or it is, is going to commit suicide because of some nasty folks who may temporarily have partial control over humanity.

P: Such a conclusion reflects your perfectly formed ego limited mentality--enormously logical, but absent of the awareness contributed by an adequately awakened Spiritual Consciousness. You don't have the Cosmic picture, your not hearing me, your out of touch! Your substantial intellectual achievements have nourished this present arrogance, so of course you cannot believe that Gaia is herself a living being, let alone her being a Soul with the power and will to heal herself.  She must heal herself by the elimination of humanity as the only means left to save herself.  This fate is ordained if humanity cannot develop the required Consciousness to take the necessary corrective actions in behalf of Gaia and itself.

Q: But scientists and others are looking for solutions to these problems.

P: Scientists, politicians, and academics continue to look for solutions, but often in the wrong places by the wrong means.  Through the Spiritual Principles behind OT/MP, you are to be empowered to transcend those limits.  You are also to be empowered to identify strategies to help overcome the ego resistance among those who could and would otherwise help.   Unless interventions are made quickly, humanity will experience a patterns of wars and widespread samd growing internal violence created by Gaia to reduce dangerous population levels, along with other equally destructive interventions.  We already observe [Summer, 2007] the effects of war in Iraq and the middle east.

Q:  But if true, can the cosmos dare suffer the loss of the earth's humanity if we don't make ourselves, ah (choke,) "Spiritually fit" to survive?  Would some mindless cosmic power you allege exists really permit the destruction of something as unique and precious as earth and its humanity? Give me a break.

P:  Not mindless Cosmic Power. Ah! the power of the ego to delude the mind and protect the ego.  Always amazing.  At the proper places throughout our dialogues, I will serve you up samples of a variety of the evidence, some facts for you to respect.  I must call to your attention the fact that, while there may be all those good people invested in protecting the earth, corporations are mindlessly pursuing goals that are positively destructive of the earths ecology.  They do this under the protective cover of the Bush--Cheney administration who uses subversions of the Environmental Protection Agency and science itself as weapons to steamroll over the efforts of citizen groups to protect the environment.  [Evidence] [More Evidence]   I will focus on some of these conditions in our third part of the Introductory Dialogue.

 Q: Wait a minute--this Gaia is the source that creates war?   Crap!  Wars are created by humans. The thought that this Gaia, whatever she is, is intentionally creating wars or causing disease is ridiculous on the face of it!

P: That's because you are only seeing the "face" of it, and that's precisely my point.

As I will develop during our dialogues, our intelligence is created by, informed by and within a higher intelligence, provided we know how to permit the link to work and thus benefit.  Are you not aware that every war has always been fought for a "good" and "rational" reason as defined by the perpetrators?  Poor Hitler just wanted to make his world safe for his Aryan blue eyes.  In the limited mental world of the ego, it makes no difference whether it makes sense in a larger realm if it makes sense to the ego centered warriors. When stress builds up in human populations, its an axiom that the more primal their values, the more they take it out on themselves or their scapegoats. Look to this reason to understand the collapse of every great civilizations in both hemispheres, e.g. the Incas, the Egyptians, Rome, all of them.  Overpopulation is the poison pill that kills without failing. [See Calhoun Study, 1962, of overpopulation in rat colonies.] We now promote this death because we have failed that ancient prescription to: "Know thyself" [reference] which mens to know and respect our limits.

Even within any common ethnic or national population before there is any overt war, as pressures increase, first there is infanticide, gang murder, syndicate murder, terrorist murder, and "random" and even systematic murder in the name of a religion or political cause.  Murder is justified in the enfeebled ego intellects of the perpetrators for a target person or group wearing the wrong colors, entering another person or group's turf, or to support a "valid" convenient cause (e.g., communism, capitalism, or simply needed oil.) The greater the stress on primitive minds of compromised Spiritual Wholeness, the narrower their focus, the less options they perceive, the greater their fears and the greater their reactive violence as their only antidote to their fear.

Look at militant Islam today.  Did Osama bin Laden or his compatriots really think through the implications of their September 11, 2001, action against the United States?  Of course not. Such thinking is impossible in his condition of empty Spiritual Consciousness. Nor did the Bush-Cheney war machine think through the impact of their ambitions strike for oil and a capitalist base in Iraq. Look at the mess in Iraq in mid to late 2007.   I tell you the worst is yet to come.  [evidence; more evidence] This is one way Gaia regulates human populations that are degrading and threatening the ecosystem of her biosphere. I will also show you in our sixth dialogue how the dynamics of Karma is the Cosmic instrument by which these actions are directed to bring perfect justice to the perpetrators of evil.  You will be astonished.

Q: But we have had the green revolution, the ability of technology to expand food support for our growing populations.  There will be other such innovations.  Our intellect is equal to the challenge.

P: Our improved technology for feeding and controlling these expanding populations has only stretched out the certain day of reckoning. Like a steel spring, the longer the stretch, the greater the explosive release of contained rage, fear, and loathing that unchains the full scale of ultimate violence. Like tightening the escape valve on an overheated boiler or pressure cooker.  Even wide spread murder in the name of a religion has and will reliably serve the cause of population reduction.   To this day, the Catholic church that opposes mechanical means of birth control still promotes fecundity among its members as an unconditional good.  Pope Benedict has recently proclaimed (March, 2007) that decline in the population of Europe is alarming:

P:  As I've already noted, Spiritually is not the same as religion. 

The relationship between the two will become more clear as we develop our dialogues. The controllers of ego centered religions(e.g., Christianity) have misinterpreted the symbolism that under girds their own Sacred texts, They depend on their congregation's ignorance of Spiritual Truth in order to apply fear, both as intimidation and as a motivation. They do this to validate, solidify, and protect their control of their followers, having wrongly interposed themselves between humanity and GOD in the early history of the Christian church [evidence]. In order to flood fear into those they would control, they have wrongly associated catastrophic events with an arbitrary, anthropomorphic, malevolent, capricious and vengeful God.  Such a God is defined by human qualities, not the qualities of an absolute GOD.  Such a concept has to be the product of corrupted and fearful human egos.

Naturally, such religions lose credibility with all intelligent cynics and create unbelievers among such evolved minds as yourself, even when you cannot substitute a viable alternative theory.  And perverse religions are themselves abuse and violence prone.  You can expect that sexually repressive religions will demonstrate a pattern of sexual abuse and perversion among their members and especially among their clergy.  Remember the fundamentalist preacher, Jimmy Swaggart, and his sexual exploits? [reference]  Likewise, empty Spiritual Consciousness produces other religious pathologies. There were the Bakkers with their fraudulent abuse of their parishioner's trust. [reference]  Then there were the "Branch Davidians," [reference] and the "Heaven's Gate" comet cult, [reference], The "Jonesville" cult suicides [reference], and on and on.  And of course the Catholic church continues to writhe in an agony over significant numbers of their priest's sexual perversions, and in fact, perversions of a variety of kinds. [reference]  I can easily understand some of the sources for your aversion for the "R" word (religion.)

Nevertheless, when the Truth about any such matter is inconvenient to one's own fears and compensating agenda, even in the light of objective and defensible evidence, the evidence is typically overlooked, discredited, and discounted for what it implies. Or the evidence is denied and then dismissed by the most intelligent folks in any potentially affected  groups, such as yourself, because, as they say, its Outrageous! Then they often persecute and kill the messenger.

Q:  O.K.! O.K.! Let me concede or defer to your arguments for now.  I guess you'll tell me next that is why abortion is OK--to minimize the surplus population.

P: I did not and will not say that.  I will briefly address the question of abortion in the context of the earth and humanity being expendable. We will come back to the issue of abortion in a later dialogue. Now I want to only suggest now that abortion may be defensible, but under certain very limited conditions that are defined by selected reasons that make an abortion Spiritually valid.

Q: What!?  Spiritual reasons for abortion!?  I'm all ears! This is really going to be good--so its going to be O.K. by some spiritual argument to murder a fetus, infants and babies, wow--say on--and then I am out'a here. There is no way you can defend that claim, and I'm not even a religious believer, and certainly not a zealot.

P: Well, we'll see.  But I must defer our discussion on that hot button topic until OT/MP has prepared you to deal with it fully and correctly.  Let me continue now with the most likely scenario our humanity, and especially western technocratic society, is vulnerable to. 

As soon as the fragile infrastructure of our nation's information, energy, and logistical support systems are shattered, there begins a war of all against all simply to obtain sufficient subsistence in order to survive.  When we run low on food and water, to sort out who gets the remainder, there will be plenty of guns and ammunition in the hands of people who have been frothing at the mouth to use them.

Q: But the police and military will protect us. That's what they are for.

 P: The police and military will defend themselves and their families. No conscript or volunteer can be counted on to remain loyal to an evil cause when they are forced to choose between the cause and self interest in the midst of chaos.  Military and police elements will be more likely to end up fighting each other for weapons or turf.  It will be gang warfare on steroids.  Consider the current priorities of those serene and bucolic communities that now dot America's rural landscape.  Those who live there cannot imagine being attacked and murdered by roving bands of desperate people, simply for their live stock, and the food that they have stored in their homes.   Mormon families across the nation will be especially sought out, not for their faith, but to be killed for their year's supply of durable food that their church encourages them to store in their homes in expectation of such a catastrophe.

The swarming hoards of millions of starving people will kill every living edible thing from coast to coast, Mexico to Canada, and likewise within Canada and Mexico, and then continuing south to the tip of South America. All domesticated animals, including horses, cats, and dogs will be killed for food.  From the white tailed deer of Virginia to the Rocky Mountain big horn sheep of Washington state, all will be killed for food.  Rats will become a delicacy while they last, in spite of their initial swarms of disease laden death.  Entire species of wildlife will be made extinct in a season.   Then the entire ecosystem that is dependent upon their presence within the web of life will collapse and become extinct.  By then, disease and starvation will wipe out the enfeebled survivors of the once almighty human condition. 

First, the paramilitary survivalists, having already prepared themselves, will strike.  They are the one who dress in camouflage fatigues and play war games in the local woods.  They will be the best organized, and trained after the National Guard..  Because they are among the least Spiritually awakened, they will be the most ruthless.  Then come bands of ad hoc professional killers, former military personnel who band together and who have not forgotten their trade.  Then there will be bands of roaming thugs from the inner city, moving first to the suburbs and then into the rural countryside.  These various groups of killers will of course fight each other to the death.  But this will be of little assistance to the innocents who will nevertheless live short nasty lives in total fear and loathing.  These waves of terror will include and consume even the former power and greed monger perpetrators themselves, futility hiding in the wreckage of their gated communities, at last humbled and stripped of dignity and even the barest substance means of life.

The wealthy who are already secluding themselves away in guarded communities, whether in private walled estates, urban high-rises, or suburban townhouses and condos, are living the lie of an unachievable condition.  For when the horror comes, their guards might maintain a temporary holding action against overt attack.  But they will be unwilling to die for their employers when the structure of society is collapsing around them.

The average American today let alone the comfortable wealthy, cannot imagine their sewers, water, trash removal, and power being cut off from outside their protected bastions.  Those who wish to eat, and those who must earn from jobs external to their secured base will have to venture out. They will then be quickly killed, even in their bullet proof limousines, by shoulder launched grenades and rockets.   These munitions are already widely available to the survivalist para military groups. One of their first targets will be raids against ammunition stores in our national guard locations scattered at convenient locations across America.

No group of "innocents" who hold naive expectations that life will never change for them can imagine the enormous consequences of a breakdown in the infrastructures that support our cities and towns. Our food distribution system alone is thinly held together by the permission of a single union, the Teamsters, and their hundreds of thousands of members.  Consider a sustained strike by these people.  Forget Taft Hartley and the National Guard.  Unchained rage has no respect for law, and the National Guard will be too busy killing looters and defending themselves to deliver the food.

Q:  So, is there any precedent to support your claims?

P:  Just think of that elegant, happy, and comfortable life style  you could find in the Jewish ghettos of Warsaw before 1939. Think of the beautiful city of Sarajevo, Yugoslavia, where the winter Olympic games were held in 1984.  Would the Serbs and Moslems have believed then, that within a decade their lives would be entirely consumed by the actions of Serbia's elected president, Slobodan Milosevic, who in 1991, began his ethnic cleansing by pitting his Serbs against the Moslems?  Surely not. Nor does an apathetic American public imagine a more evil expression of nastiness beyond today's trivial problems.  They maintain this "What?! Me worry?" naivety in the face of clear and persistent evidence of the Bush-Cheney administration's ruthless efforts to trash our Constitution and replace it with a foundation for a fascistic police state run exclusively for and by them and their corporate tools.

Nevertheless, apart from rampaging militants, vigilantes and thugs, when the vector controls now in place are destroyed or ignored, there will be plagues of insect and microscopic vermin of every description.  Initially there will be roaming packs of rats and dangerous feral (wild) dogs and cats.  These will swarm into temporarily surviving farms, villages, and towns, in hordes beyond coping with.  One dare not be caught in the open by one of these starving swarms or packs, not even with weapons.   Then comes the ultimate species death, the ecological collapse I just described, and human extinction. 

Q:  OK! OK!  I get the picture, but I do resist accepting it.  But it does have the ring of truth when I consider the effects of these conditions that already exist in some third world countries and even in our cities.  I mean I grasp your idea of gangs of adolescent and adult children, the drug culture, and the sheer weight of growing populations who are made socially useless so as to be transformed to serve as enforcer puppets and cannon fodder for the controlling politicians.  These conditions you describe do surely do not have promise for a natural, noble, or peaceful death for anybodys future.

P: Yet, but note.  I state these not as a certain prediction, but as a certain consequence of continued Spiritual neglect, emptiness, denial, and inaction.  In terms of probability, in view of current trends of ecological and social abuse, (i.e., the statistical odds,) our Gaia must and will act to prevent her own death from the collective evil actions of its presently Spiritually empty, un-illuminated, indifferent, and unchecked humanity.

 P: Insight to the validity of my claims begins when you first recognize and accept the extent to which nature is prolific in every part of the Cosmos. This must include the likely number of earth type "humanities" that some scientists think ought to exist in the Cosmos. Nature is everywhere prolific. There are no exceptions. Life feeds on life. Sacrifice of one life or level of life for a higher expression of life is ubiquitous in Gaia's ecology and its history.  Why then, should there be an exception for sacrificing an unfit self disqualifying humanity? You will come to understand that the earth itself is a womb (or petri dish) for nourishing the Souls of humanity.  Why permit a Spiritually unworthy, arrogant, and unrepentant humanity to survive like an evil viris, only to eventually destroy the whole ecology of earth?

You may be certain that Nature, at the Cosmic systems level, is also prolific in Gaia type life forms beyond the bounds of our solar system. The facts of possible interest to you are that, according to some astronomers, there are in excess of 400 billion stars in our Milky Way galaxy alone. Of these, after calculations have eliminated those unlikely to be able to support life forms as we know them, [Sagan, 1980] the remainder allows for a minimum of one trillion systems with potential for earth like civilizations, millions of which have already likely perished when they persisted in their own ignorance of Spiritual Truth. Yet a good number of which are likely to have already survived their materialistic technological adolescence to serve larger Cosmic causes.  The earth and its humanity is therefore not needed.

Q: Come on!  Would some mindless cosmic power you allege exists really permit the destruction of something as unique and precious as earth and its humanity?  Give me a break.   But even if what you say is True, how can the Cosmos dare suffer the loss of the earth's humanity if we cannot make ourselves, uh, as you say, "Spiritually fit" in order to survive?

But, I'm curious. Give me some examples. How consistent is nature in being prolific.

P: Consider the following well documented evidence you should remember from science:

a mature oak tree releases about 2,000 acorns each year during the 200 years of its typical life. During its lifetime, each such tree brings a potential 400,000 trees into the world. Yet we know that only one to three replacement trees are likely to actually survive during this entire period because of the interactive ecology of the forest which consumes the rest.
when Luther Burbank was experimenting with improving a species of plant, he selected a few promising seedlings from a chosen variety under development and then destroyed the rest. Approximately 50,000 "failures" were destroyed each time.
a 25 pound carp from an Iowa pond was found to contain 1,700,000 eggs, but only about 12,000 could hatch.
if all the eggs hatched and survived from a single common house fly and its descendants, between April and August, 191,010,000,000,000,000,000 survivors would be found.
even the elephant, one of the slowest breeding life forms on earth, produces only six calves during its fertile interval between ages 30 and 90. Yet if all the calves survived, one mother would contribute as a legacy on the earth, 19,000,000 elephants descending from the original pair in about 750 years.
each woman creates about 400,000 eggs in her fertile lifetime of which only 200 to 400 are released for fertilization.
the male releases from 200 to 400 million sperm in a single ejaculation, only one of which will likely unite to create a human embryo from an available ovum. Nevertheless,
on average, at this time among educated parents in America, only about 2.3 children will grow up to survive as replacement adults for their parents, a rate that insures continued population growth even at a rate considerably less than most third world countries. But the uneducated poor working class among us, including illegal immigrants,  have no such constraint. The uneducated and immigrant classes contribute a significantly higher birth rate.  This growth is now the primal threat to Gaia from which all other ecosystem threats are created.  [See powerful demonstration of the scale of the immigration threat to America, and the presenter is not even including illegal immigration.]

Q: Perhaps I am going to be reconsidering the future I had so innocently planned.  But still, I resist accepting such an awesome negative theory.

P:  In our Fifth Dialogue (on Power and Control) I have planned for us, I will comment on how our Spiritually empty national obsession with economic growth must and is destroying our future right before the unseeing and unfeeling members of the electorate who in their ignorance,  have actually voted to promote this fate.    There is a direct relationship among expanding economic pressures of capitalist societies, with their relentless pressure to promote and exploit our earth's population growth. This of course impacts the consumption of the earth's resource's, the production and waste from which then adversely impacts the already stressed ecology of Gaia.

Q: Of course your going to prove all of this?  I can hardly wait.  If what you say is true, that this earth is some kind of "Spiritual" being, and honestly, the thought of that right now also almost makes me choke, why would Gaia, as a Spiritual being, destroy humanity? Our technological genius has pulled our bacon out of the fire many times in the past.  Why not now?  Even proponents of abortion wouldn't destroy an earth full of humanity.

P: Because western humanity has almost completely destroyed its immune system.   At the society level of human systems, the immune system is defined by an Ethical Consciousness that does not permit evils like predatory capitalism to function unrestrained as a tool of the power and greed mongers.  Thus, without a viable ethical Consciousness, we have inadequate capacity to even recognize the evil that is consuming us, nor then can we invent or apply the tools required to cope with it before it is too late.  Like an evil cancer, predatory capitalism consumes and destroys its host and ultimately itself.

 P: Right now, within you, within me, and within every living being, there is a relentless process by which our bodies destroy any harmful virus or germ that enters our body.  In our blood stream, large white cells, called phagocytes, detect the presence of any invading entity not compatible with our living body.  We call our body's struggle against such assaults, illness. When the invaders begin to gain dominance over the defenders of our body's integrity, we become ill.  We sweat, tremble and suffer on a scale equal to the scale of the threat presented by the invaders. Unless these invaders are destroyed, we die. The illness persists until the phagocytes complete their work.

The phagocytes quickly mobilize and attack any invading virus or bacteria, engulf them, and destroy them.   In this they are ruthless, uncompromising and dispassionate.  That is, they function without an ego.  There is no tolerance for the invader's presence.  These phagocytes kill without passion, without guilt, without anger, without any human feeling. They do not reason with, negotiate, or try to educate or remediate the invaders.  There is no sense of vengeance or joy in success, nor is there any satisfaction in this killing. They do not kill for profit, gain, rewards, or turf.  They do not attack each other. Dominance and aggressiveness for their own sake are not factors for the phagocytes.  Nor is there any sense of reward or sense of achievement.  These invaders are simply destroyed, instantly upon detection, ruthlessly and relentlessly, so long as their invasive presence persists.

This killing is constant. Millions of invaders are being destroyed right now in our bodies as we speak. In our society, our phagocyte equivalent is our warriors (and the entire intelligence and military establishment.)  These entities act to expunge any genuine threat to the stability and well being of our society.  In choosing who to attack, unfortunately, they are less dispassionate, less perfect an instrument than the phagocytes, because at the human level, such decisions are grossly infested by ego values and a lust for power and control.  The war in Iraq is the most recent example that is a product of this defect.

The Union of Concerned Scientists has documented that the official policies of the current administration are amplifying the endangerment to our ecology that already exists:

rejection of the Kyoto protocol that required mandatory controls on heat trapping gasses in the atmosphere .  Failure to accommodate this cosmic requirement is producing global warming with terminal implications for humanity and Gaia. [ref Gore, 2006, An Inconvenient Truth.]
enacted policies that increase our oil dependence on third world sources instead of promoting alternative energy sources
choosing to conduct overt, large scale war, instead of using those same funds to promote resources to detect the passing of nuclear devices, components, and resources to sleeper cells in different parts of the world with their potential to deliver these devices by innocuous appearing means, e.g., houseboats on our inter coastal waterways, container ships of which less that 10 percent can actually be inspected, etc.  [source]

Q: So then, what then is your point?

 P: Killing is essential for life. Humanity can and must be "killed" in the interests of Gaia's self-preservation.

Q: What!?  Now surely that claim is outrageous!  You accept me here to teach me some kind of spiritual model, and then you say that "killing is essential for life"?  What happened to God's first commandment, "Thou shall not kill?" 

P: God himself has often conveniently ignored his own commandment, e.g.,  the numerous murders God himself personally committed.  [example]  But I will refer to a different definition of GOD.  

The God you refer to, the God of our fathers, does not exist.  It is a creation of the primal consciousness of early Hebrew civilization.  The concept that the 10 commandments carry supernatural force was required to deal with animalistic (baboon like) humans.  Today, the ten commandments would most likely be delivered from the penthouse of a high rise office building on a CD.

But in those early eras of evolving human consciousness, primal people functioned mostly from a simplistic, totally ego driven, carnal based, and material focused mentality. Much like today, but even worse.  But then, Spiritual Consciousness was only barely awakened in a few of their members [Jaynes, 1976,] i.e., those who composed the later prophet books of the Old Testament.  The writings of an early prophet, e.g., Amos, about 800 BCE (Before the Common Era,) contains referents, exhortations, that are blunt and directive, e.g., "Thus saith the Lord,..." followed by an admonition.  But in the last written book of the Old Testament, about 250 BCE, the Book of Ecclesiastics, reveals language containing referents that are abstract and subtle, e.g., "For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under the sun." [3:1]

This difference in expanded human consciousness is observed in only 600 years of human C/consciousness evolution.  In order for the evolution of human C/consciousness to reach its full potential for Spiritual fulfillment, in the primal state of evolution, killing certain other humans appeared to be essential. In OT/MP, any act of killing required to preserve one's life must not be associated in any way with killing for vengeance, belief, profit, hate, territory, or advantage.

Q: But then, who kills and who should be killed?

P: Religious fundamentalists suffer the same Spiritual limit.  Take Islam as an example.  Today we see a demonstration of primal, Spiritually impoverished consciousness in goals and actions of militant Islam. Their limited concept of reality allows them to accept instruction based upon their sacred scripture in The Holy Qur'an, and they feel that the evil they preach and do is validated. From that scripture, they are empowered in implementing murderous actions against unbelievers. [Evidence]  We must ask as a practical example, in the context of the Principles advanced by  OT/MP, how can Islam's wanton killing of "unbelievers" be stopped?

Q:  Can OT/MP help me understand why they would kill those who simply don't hold to their intellectual or religious beliefs.

P: Yes, but not in our introductory dialogues.  According to militant Moslems, they believe this killing is not only just, but required as an article of their faith.  But there is a lesson there for all of us. However, devoutly you may believe in anything, your belief may be in error in the context of the LAW defined only by the  only TRUTH,  Cosmic TRUTH. But you're coming to understand the nature and Principles of Spiritual Consciousness will clarify that claim for you.

Q: So how do we know this "Truth" as you say?

P:  Until now truth has been claimed through faith.  But misplaced faith kills as an evil, not as a necessity for good.

Q: But what about those who are Spiritually awakened, who justly loath and reject killing for any reason?  What do they do when any militant "ism" decides to ruthlessly eliminate them, to commit genocide against them?  What then?  Must they, in accordance with their evolved Spiritual Consciousness allow themselves to be destroyed and be replaced by a Spiritually debased, ruthless, and determined opponent?  What should they do?  Is not this the condition being placed on the west today by the followers of militant Islam?

 P:  When any person, group, or society is forced to the point of resist or die, then they must resist by all available means. But for harm or killing to be a justifiable act, however essential for survival, the following sequence of prior efforts must be seen to occur. However, paradoxically, you will come to understand why only the Spiritually awakened are capable of meeting these tests that must first be applied to avoid violence:

First the potential victims persistently resist harming or killing their adversary by avoidance of confrontation.

When that fails, then they earnestly resist by sustained efforts to reason and negotiate.

When that fails, they then attempt to educate and remediate the Spiritually empty agendas of the threatening killers.

When that fails, they they must then resort to serious and credible threat and intimidation, and a policy of containment to control the evil and keep it within defined borders and limits.  I note this tactic not only applies to those whose objectives are to perpetrate killing (e.g., activists in Hezbollah, Hamas, El Qaeda, etc.) but also to the passive but supporting infrastructure in which they are embedded, i.e., those who condone or tolerate killing, even if they are intimidated by and under the control of the perpetrators. This empowering infrastructure must also be informed of the certainty that when death comes to the perpetrators, it will also come to them.

NOTICE THAT THIS PROTOCOL PLACES THE DEATH OF THE MILITANT MUSLIMS (AND THEIR  SUPPORTING INFRASTRUCTURE) DIRECTLY ON THEMSELVES.  THEY CHOOSE THE PATH THAT LEADS TO THEIR DEATH.  AT ANY PRIOR TIME THEY COULD CHOOSE TO OPT OUT IN FAVOR OF REASON AND ACCOMMODATION.  

Therefore, significant and sustained efforts must first be made to motivate the cooperation of this supporting infrastructure, or that element of a population that creates, supports, or passively condones violence. Only then can they be motivated to inform on the killers and their plans, to become active agents in the killer's demise.   Thus for the "innocent"  members of the community in which terrorists have embedded themselves to be spared, they should act convincingly, and consistently, in clearly visible ways, to help eliminate those of their brethren who plot, commit, or support terrorism.  They must be clearly and consistently told that their failure to actively assist in the removal these killers equally defines them as killers, and therefore, vulnerable to the same fate as the killers.

NOTE:  the classic example of this situation can be found in the summer of 2006 by the behavior of the Lebanese population.   The Lebanese population, as a whole, has openly supported Hezbollah's stated goal of destroying Israel.  After Israel had completely vacated Lebanon in trust of obtaining a peaceful relationship with Lebanon, the Lebanese population then assertively affirmed and supported the perpetration of ruthless and persistent attacks on Israel by the embedded violent Hezbollah.  They attacked from Lebanon across their border on Israel.  Lebanon had accepted the Hezbollah and allowed them to infiltrate their population.  Then they gave them succor, housing, vast storage areas for munitions, they welcomed the terrorists within their very homes, schools, institutions and communities, and they voted them into political power in the Lebanese government.. Then they celebrated Hezbollah's attacks across the border on Israel. Israel was this given the forced choice to either destroy the Hezbollah and its empowering infrastructure (the supportive Lebanese civilians,) or allow themselves to be steadily eviscerated and ultimately attacked and eliminated from the earth.  Nevertheless, those world leaders whose C/consciousness is ignorant and  uninformed as to this dynamic, as a result of inadvertant collateral damage on the civilian population, mindlessly condemned Israel for its "disproportionate" response.

When the above effort to obtain the cooperation of the supporting infrastructure fails, or becomes vulnerable to failure, then the potential victims must quickly act to ruthlessly and utterly destroy the encroaching killers, AND THEIR SUPPORTING INFRASTRUCTURE.  They must do so impersonally as well as ruthlessly and utterly, including the complete removal of the supporting infrastructure who ignored the warnings and continued their tolerance or support for the killers, and including those who simply declined to assist in the killers removal.

I emphasize, this remedial elimination of the killers must  be accomplished without any motives of convenience, hatred, contempt, rancor, vengeance, ambition, territory, profit, or even satisfaction in the required killing which must continue until complete.

Q: Wow! How can you dare say that, even with all those conditions? and you're going to teach me a so called "spiritual" paradigm or model? Convince me these principles are Spiritually valid.  I can hardly wait.

P:  But there is more than that set of pre conditional caveats I have just mentioned.  That set of prior conditions must be fully understood, respected and implemented.  Alas, right now you cannot fully understand why I have taken this position, not until we have completed all of our dialogues.  But I am taking some time right now to humor you with a summary, but incomplete explanation.  Perhaps that will motivate you to stick with the MP when the going gets tough.

Q: So then, if I kill under the conditions you have described, I am going to be free of judgment by any God there might be?

P:  Alas! No. That's part of  the "more than the set of preconditional caveats" I just mentioned.

Q: What!? What are you  doing? jerking my mind?  After the clarity of those justifications and conditions, your telling me that even if I respect them I'm still going to hell because I kill ruthless and committed terrorists and their supporting base?

P: Not to hell, at least not the commonly accepted version. This contradiction may seem inconsistent and be difficult to understand as I tell you right now at the outset of our dialogues.   Just keep what I am about to say in mind as we move through the dialogues.  There is a metaphysical rule that the MP in its advocacy must respect.  That rule states that there is no Spiritually valid justification whatsoever for intentionally harming any living system.

Q: You mean that if I kill to prevent the monsters of the world like Saddam Hussein or KIM il Jong from killing me, my loved one's, and the highest and best of our society, I'm still in trouble?

P: Yes, but not the kind mostly taught by establishment religions. We first need to speak in detail about the nature and Principles of Karma and Reincarnation for you to understand the why and how behind my statement.  We will devote our entire sixth dialogue to that explanation.  But the foundation reason will still probably be initially experienced as outrageous.

I'll say it this way, there is no worldly investment that Spiritually justifies any harmful act.  This is because we are not here for any worldly purpose no matter how noble or convincing that objective or purpose is to the ego and its slave, the intellect.

Q: None?

P: None.  We are here on earth only to learn the nature of our Spiritual Truth from the events of the world we experience, and to serve others in that cause, to assist them to awaken and develop their own Spiritual Consciousness. The earth's only purpose is to serve as a placenta for the birthing of Human Souls.  When that purpose is fulfilled, then the earth, like the egg shell, or placenta of any warm blooded mammal will be discarded by the Cosmos.

Q:  Your claims truly create a mystery.  You constantly contradict yourself with such ease.  Wait.  Is that why the earth is expendable?

P: Yes, but the proper question to be answered now is, will the death of Gaia be premature, the result of self inflicted terminal damage committed by a Spiritually debased humanity?  Or will it perish in due course at the end of its natural time, after the fulfillment of its Cosmic purpose?

Q: So how do I choose to answer such a test?  What a dilemma!  Must I allow myself and all that I love be destroyed?

P: Yes.

Q: My God! How can I possibly understand these contradictions.  First, you say we must kill to save ourselves from genocide, but with all those caveats and conditions.  Then you immediately say we will still be punished if we do kill, even with those preconditions and justifications.  Then you say that by these so called "Spiritual" Principles, its wrong to kill any living thing, no matter what.

P:  But in order to choose to kill or not kill, you must be fully Spiritually awakened so as to Know when there is no further value for you to have worldly experiences as an incarnated human being.  For now, your Spiritual growth, as well as most of humanity's Spiritual growth, depends upon additional worldly experiences, not just in this present life, but in subsequent rebirths.  By that I mean additional lifetimes on earth.  And because you are not alone with multitudes of humanity in the same dire need, the earth and its humanity must not be allowed to perish prematurely.  Few can meet that test of transcending their need for ongoing worldly experiences.  So you will continue to choose to serve worldly values until you fully awaken.  In that context, OT/MP is designed to reach three goals, to:

provide a Spiritual frame of reference for those still trapped in their ego's illusions of the world so that their worldly judgments can begin to move them steadily toward their full Spiritual awakening

provide an incentive, and some ways and means for those well along on the path of Spiritual Awakening to become a more effective resource to assist others along that path as well, and finally,

help a select few complete their leap to full Spiritual Consciousness so that they can "overcome the world."

P: No. I am still a neophyte in the process of fully awakening.

Q: Well then, I guess that puts me well down the line as a candidate for earthly release.  So, according to my understanding, I can kill for worldly justifications under the limits your described, but at the cost of my Spiritual growth.  Correct?

P: Yes, but you must allow me time to take you through the entire complexity of OT/MP for you to have the required context for comprehending the Truth that creates and supports these claims. Right now you are seriously suffering from the curse of Holistic or systems thinking. 

Understand that when you "justifiably" kill under the worldly rules I have set, you will still pay the Spiritual price of adverse Karma and the requirement for ongoing births in earthly experiences to purify that negative Karma.  I also note that the window of opportunity for such worldly rebirths for Spiritual growth is steadily shrinking if Gaia dies prematurely.  This is because the placenta earth, goaded by an ignorant and rebellious humanity, now moves toward a precipitous premature conclusion of her function well before the natural end of her Cosmic life.

Q: So!  We have an aborted humanity!  Look. I simply reject your premise out of hand. I reject this idea of a, a,  Gaia, and now this Karma and Reincarnation crap, and rules for killing and the costs anyway.  If reincarnation is true, then I know some folks who are going to come back as slugs.  I just don't buy it.  I think I'm wasting my time here.

P:  But be patient. You haven't experienced the first defense of any part of OT/MP, not even its basic concepts of Spiritual Consciousness, let alone advanced concepts like K&R.  Accept and ignore your ego's natural fear expressed as doubt and its desire for avoidance, closure, and escape.  Remember the curse of system's thinking. Your complete understanding depends upon your first meeting the Whole of OT/MP.  Remember, OT/MP is a Holistic Spiritual Paradigm.

But now we must move on and I will tell how placenta earth is already acting to remain healthy as our destructive humanity threatens her with premature death.

But we can use GST to examine the role of war as a tool for Gaia to eliminate dangerous levels of her human populations.  In this, a parallel can be understood if we think that wars arise as a byproduct of Gaia's immune system.

Q: You mean this so called Gaia has an immune system, like the phagocytes, like me?  Outrageous! for sure!

P: You have already observed the symptoms of its process.  As populations expand and encroach on each other, they develop hatred, enmity, and fear for each other's presence and ambitions. Now, where, actually, does this fear come from?

Q: It must be built in instinctive?

P:  Yes, because as I will demonstrate to your satisfaction in our first dialogue (On C/consciousness) that each of us is literally ONE with each other and Gaia.   Fear arises from each human being's improper Spiritual relationship with their immediate Source, the Spiritual information and energy that defines Gaia.  Then they mobilize to kill each other as their only low consciousness "solution."  Any "just" cause will do.  The larger the competing populations, the more that is at stake for survival,  the more extensive and destructive their war.  The causal sources need not, in fact it cannot, be understood by the combatants.

Q:  Is the current western vs Islam confrontation likely to play out that way?  

P:  Yes, in the continued presence of Spiritual impoverishment.  But regardless of the practical outcome for the combatants, vast numbers of both populations are eliminated.  From Gaia's perspective, the justifications that create the war are irrelevant. Gaia's need to reduce these cancerous growths is served regardless of human explanations, or who wins or looses.

Q: You say wars are for the purpose of reducing human populations?  Wars are immoral! Even before your weird explanation.

The great wars of the last century, like the phagocytes that protect our body, caused millions of young Americans and others of free societies to sacrifice their lives in order to preserve the way of life that has produced these benefits.  Had they not done that, had they not necessarily killed millions, including innocent civilians, during those wars, if alive, we would be living in a Spiritually debased, empty and desperate way of life.  This is a way of life such as the Taliban demonstrated during their decade of rule over Afghanistan. Remember their Ministry for the Promotion of Virtue and Suppression of Vice (PVSV)? [details]. Would you allow such impositions on your freedom?

Q: Of course not.

P: But there are those among us who devoutly yearn to apply them.  But our freedoms and benefits exist and have been protected because of the depth of Spiritual Consciousness that was present in our founding fathers, and which was was imbued in our Constitution, and which has persisted into the latter decades of the 20th century. [NOTE: Spiritual foundations of the United States as reflected in the symbolism on our currency]   Meditate deeply, and at length, in Thanksgiving for the Spiritual significance of their sacrifices at length.

When you compare their Spiritual strength of character, the depth of their intellectual integrity and profound courage of those men and their families, and then compare their legacy with the betrayal now being perpetrated by the greed mongers of predatory capitalism and their political lackeys, you ought be galvanized to take swift corrective action.

But this action must first be grounded in Spiritual Consciousness or it will go amiss. Because of our root Spiritual legacy created by our founding fathers, our society has been protected and persisted in spite of the presence of serious imperfections within elements of our society. That protection is already departing as our current Spiritually empty leadership continues to direct our rapid decent into materialist oblivion.

Q: So you are raising the specter of these imperfections ruining us a society.

P: Yes. Now those ego grounded imperfections, like an invading virus, are progressively taking over our society. This is energized by the dominant presence of growing numbers of unregulated predatory egos among the leadership elements of our society.  They are those who only desire to advance themselves and their power and control agendas, regardless of the costs to others.  In order to exploit their work, they energize direct abuses of disempowered members of our society (those in the middle and under classes, or those defined as outclasses.)

From their exploitive actions, Gaia is abused indirectly by the byproducts of our technology and industrial bases of political power.  These are now creating vast ecological forces that combine to poison and despoil our planet. 

The energy for the objections of European populations to our planned invasion of Iraq in the winter of 2003 is in large part due to their recognition of the destructive intrusions of our predatory international global conglomerates. They resent our intrusive meddling in their economic, social and religious ways of life.  US incursions into other societies also validates the posture taken by Islamic cultures (whether entirely valid or not, and regardless of their Spiritually impoverished strategies) to oppose US efforts to further advance its corporate directed controlling interests in middle eastern and third world nations.

P: But the media or press has never made such a claim or observation!

Q: Of course not.  They are part of the problem, exactly my point. But I defer further development of this theory until part three of this three part Introduction, and especially in our fifth dialogue devoted directly to the dynamics of unregulated ego managed power and control.  But my point I make now is that it ought come as no surprise to the already Spiritually awakened, that Gaia is already acting to directly suppress the destructive evils our predatory societies have created.

These interventions range from small scale, e.g., the creation of guardians who kill the poachers destroying elephant populations for profit, to large scale interventions like difficult to suppress diseases and wars. These natural interventions are only intended to reduce the threat to Gaia's survival due to our out-of-control human presence.  Like the phagocytes and rise of body temperature in our body's response to illness, Gaia unleashes a complex set of interacting destructive mechanisms to create environmental and other natural catastrophes. All these combine to reducing population pressures that have been the fuel for our economic overgrowth with its destructive and polluting economic byproducts. Our national and international leaders remain incredibly impervious to recognizing the symptoms for what they actually are.   The Spiritually impoverished fools amongst us actually celebrate the material ambitions of this abusive political power.  Paradoxically, the secular power they support is the antithesis of the teachings of the Jesus they claim as their authority.

Q: Do you dare suggest, for example, that the current overall rise in the earth's temperature, the condition that seems to be beginning to produce widespread weather and crop disasters such as droughts, famine, wild fires, and powerful storms, are actually being caused by this, Gaia?

P: Yes.

Q: Ridiculous!

P: Every basic text book on the dynamics of the earth's ecology documents the eternal cycles of species overpopulation that threaten to unbalance the ecology of which they are a part.  Such imbalance is always countered by some form of controlling disaster, no matter what the species.  [evidence of global warming irreversibly destroying the web of life]  The root source of overpopulation pathologies is not immediately related to food or other subsistence scarcities. It has to do with the psychic burden caused by overcrowding.  I will argue that this can best be explained by disturbances that are created in the Spiritual energy fields that link the overcrowded population's members. Most disturbing, in such cases, overcrowded animal populations and human populations present similar severe pathologies. [evidence]

Only the scale of human arrogance and our ignorance of the destructive potential of our out-of-control egos creates and maintains our persistence in these destructive behaviors.  Not only do overpopulated species "crash," but they then suffer additionally for many generations from a damaged gene pool.  Our gene pool is already being damaged by our capacity to preserve life that would otherwise die.

Q: So?  I already know what you say  is true at the animal and biological level.  How is that relevant as a threat to humanity?  

 P: The natural cyclic corrections of species overpopulation is being violently perturbed by human encroachment.  [technical ref importance of ecological balance]  Defects in the human gene pool have been symptomatically countered in the last two generations by advancing medical interventions.  But this meddling allows damaged genes that would be removed by death to be projected into subsequent generations.  Over time there is a cumulative aggregation of these defects. This trend makes western civilizations, who have mostly benefited from these medical interventions, to now be the most vulnerable to any disruption in the thin veneer of medical protections.

In event of a war or other catastrophe that would remove easy access to these medical protections from large numbers of our population, then there would first be wide spread death of elders and corresponding birthing of infants with fatal anomalies that can no longer be countered by medical interventions.  Person's of marginal health requiring constant medical interventions would quickly perish.  Thus, society will endure widespread economic, emotional and physical sufferings of such seriously compromised children, elders, and others. In addition to the direct cost, there are often side effects of disastrous economic and emotional impact of such marginal births on the families that produce them, thus adding more destructive stress to the fragile emotional fabric of our society.

Q: And you argue that war and natural catastrophes are created by God to reduce the surplus population?

P:  Not "God." The God you speak of, the so called "God of our fathers," the one the Bible frequently describes as acting from a wrathful, often vengeful and capricious human value system, does not exist.  I will offer evidence in support of that assertion, but not now.

In concert with Spiritual Principles that far transcend the puny interests of a struggling ego centered humanity, I do assert that the current trends toward large scale war and environmental catastrophe are also a part of Gaia's self preservation strategies to eliminate the threats to her future caused by a dangerous humanity.  I do also affirm that these events have often been misinterpreted by the religionists to be intentionally caused by this arbitrary, anthropomorphic, malevolent, capricious and vengeful God.  Naturally, such religions lose credibility with intelligent cynics.

But the Cosmic GOD acts from dispassionate Spiritual LAW. If you incorrectly operate an airplane so that it crashes, you are not suffering "the wrath of gravity."  You are receiving the consequences of Cosmic Law. The adverse actions that arise against humanity are the result of humanity's actions, not that of a wrathful God. The Perfect Justice that falls from this Cosmic Law is the topic of our Dialogue 6 dealing with Karma and Reincarnation.

Whatever species cannot, or will not, fit themselves in to be guided by those Principles will be compromised or destroyed.  Nevertheless, when this Truth is inconvenient to one's ego needs, even in the light of objective and defensible evidence, but in the absence of a viable Spiritual Consciousness, such evidence is denied and then dismissed as outrageous by intelligent folks such as yourself.  This arrogant disregard by humanity for the persistent evidence from accessible Spiritual Truth already afflicting us is what is truly outrageous!

Q: How?

P: One way is to allow human abusers to destroy the environment by exploitation of perverse law created for that purpose, e.g.,:

"It's time for forest defenders to stock up on rope, carabiners and lock-boxes. Amid one of the most severe wildfire seasons in the past 50 years, the Bush administration and Congress are preparing to pass a so-called “fire prevention logging” rider on the Interior Appropriations Bill. This rider—reminiscent of the infamous Salvage Rider passed by Clinton in 1995—will suspend environmental protection laws in order to allow private logging corporations unfettered access to public forests. Concerned citizens will no longer have the legal rights to participate in public lands management and will have no access to the courts when government agencies break the law." [source]

P: In the absence of sufficient Spiritual Consciousness, the public is incapable of detecting the ploy in such laws and do nothing to counter them.  This results in combination with many such initiatives on many fronts, to destroy the ecology for profit past the point of possible recovery.  The loggers who survive by working the forests of the Pacific northwest have opposed the seclusion of protected woodlands because such actions will cost them their livelihoods.  But in their Spiritual slumber, they are not able to ask what would happen if they at last lose their livelihoods after the woodlands have been entirely destroyed. Then it is too  late to recover them, forever!   Once a critical amount of the ecology has been destroyed or compromised (called a "tipping point,")  they will begin to unravel in a manner that it cannot be stopped.  Once the unraveling begins, it will continue until the planet is unfit to support human life.  There are still other ways that Gaia can act to remove a cancerous humanity.

Q: How?

P: Even in ancient civilizations, projects of massive and difficult scale were undertaken for various declared causes.  However, they all had in common that they consumed millions of lives through their completion and maintenance, or until the civilization was finally destroyed by some other over-population catastrophe like a plague, famine, or war from invading armies seeking "living room."

Q: What civilizations? What projects?

P: The massive pyramids, temples, and gardens of Egypt, Babylon, and the Inca and Aztec cultures in the western hemisphere. Then there is the Great Wall of China, to name only the few we know about.  But now, I need to move on and defer any further discussion until you better understand the dynamics of the Mystical Paradigm that defend my assertions. But let me emphasize a crucial point.

All of these projects originate for the purpose of magnifying and exalting a human ego.  Thus the destructive elements residing in human activity managed by Gaia always work through the human ego.  Whether it is the exhortation to wars of conquest, or the building of massive, life consuming projects, or permitting the conditions that create famine, pestilence, and plague, underneath each of these catastrophes you will find the root contributions of the human ego.

OT/MP intends to reveal to you how Spiritual Consciousness is the only reliable and viable antidote for controlling and suppressing the self serving, and therefore destructive guidance of the human ego.  I know these claims must seem outrageous to you now.

Q:  Yes, your assertions are far too outrageous for me to accept.   So, O.K.  Let me politely ignore your arguments for now.

  P: I need for you to accept, at least  for now, that OT/MP offers you a Holistic, Spiritually grounded Paradigm or model based on systems concepts. But the MP is grounded in the foundation requirement of a viable Spiritual Consciousness.  Understanding the MP first requires you first develop that Consciousness which energizes your capacity for Holistic or Systems thinking.  None of the following areas (Dialogues) that define OT/MP can be fully comprehended in isolation from any other area.

Therefore, you must have the unique personal discipline required to persevere through the earlier foundation concepts (the nature and dynamics of C/consciousness and the three ego overlays before they can be meaningfully applied to our society's  problem areas (errors of ego creating the abuses of corporate and institutional power.) You and I must together surmount the "Curse of Holistic/Systems thinking."

But I note that your discipline and commitment to this cause is dependent, not on the power of your intellect, but on the scope and depth of your current innate Spiritual Consciousness.  In this nation, OT/MP must serve to energize and unite those descendants who own the legacy of that Spiritual character and integrity that was bought together in our founding fathers.   Through Spiritual guidance, you will find and support each other.

P:  Now my dear Pilgrim, these essential Spiritual qualities are present, but undeveloped in you.  That is why you were sent here.  You will eventually be shocked that you were not just sent here by your friends as you ego intellect will insist.  You were sent here by a larger Cosmic intelligence that used your friends as instruments to achieve that goal.  This is how the Spiritual Forces of the Cosmos do their work.  It will become equally clear that it is to your advantage to align your self with this Cosmic Intelligence and not ignore it or oppose it.

Therefore, what we will focus on during the final third part of this introductory dialogue, is to identify and affirm an intellectual summary of the nature, scale and scope of our ego created problems.  In that context, the first four major dialogues can empower you to make the intuitive leap required to release your intellect from your ego's selfish control in order to to benefit from an advanced Spiritual Consciousness.  Let me assure you that whatever you believe you understand about what I have just said, you do not yet understand in terms of the actual meaning I intend.

Q: Can't you give me a hint of how knowing these ideas will help me?   Based on the nature and scale of the challenges you appear to present, I will need all the encouragement I can get.
